CMLDP Special Edition: Visionary Perspectives and Experiences in Leadership

This is a panel-type discussion with three Contract Management Leadership Development Alumni (CMLDP) giving their respective “TED Talk” style presentations and then taking potential questions from the attendees. They would weave how their experiences with the CMLDP shaped their leadership in the workplace, what their vision is, and what they believe the future will be in contracts in their own organization.

Speakers:

Angel N. Davis, CFCM, CMLDP Alumna

Mrs. Davis has over fifteen (15) years of experience in contracts management. She is a Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) and the immediate Past President of the Tysons Chapter of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA). She is currently the Chair of the NCMA Tysons Board of Advisors. Mrs. Davis is a graduate of the NCMA Contract Management Leadership Development Program (CMLDP). Mrs. Davis founded the NCMA Tysons Women In Leadership Initiative, in which she was responsible for creating curriculum, attaining sponsorship and providing resources in support of a diverse professional community of women. Mrs. Davis is unconditionally devoted to creating pathways to exceptional leadership.

Jaime Gracia

Mr. Gracia is an Acquisition Manager with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). In this role, he leads efforts to provide innovative acquisition services to ensure IRS procurement personnel execute the role as business advisers and partners, and to create agile contract solutions ensuing the IRS can meet its mission of effective tax administration. He is a procurement executive and subject matter expert with 20+ years of progressive experience providing vision, leadership and direction for the delivery of innovative, cutting-edge acquisitions, training, projects and programs for public and private sector clients.

He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, author, speaker, and active member of numerous trade and industry associations focusing on federal government and contracting issues facing our nation.

Mark Wisniewski

Mark Wisniewski is currently an Attorney for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) responsible for advising the Surface Force Logistics Center (SFLC) on acquisition matters located in Baltimore, MD. Prior to the USCG, Mark served as a Supervisory Contracting Officer at the IRS supervising a staff of 13 responsible for obligating a $250 Million IT portfolio annually. Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, an MBA, a law degree, and is a Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) as well as a 2015 CMLDP graduate.

Charitable Donations Welcomed. We invite you to join NCMA Tysons in making a contribution to the United Way National Capital Region (NCR) Emergency Assistance Fund to support those impacted by COVID19. We will have a goal of $2,000 and will match your donation up to 50%. Donations will be accepted up to our next virtual dinner meeting in which we will select another charitable organization participating in COVID relief efforts.

United Way NCA’s Emergency Assistance Fund will be directed as follows:

  • Martha’s Table to support food distribution throughout the DMV and 350 families around wage assistance and food insecurity.
  • Northern Virginia Family Service to support their Hunger Resource Center’s food distribution. They are expanding their services to target over 500 school-aged children and their families in their catchment area.
  • Community Service Agency to support affected union workers and their families through emergency wage assistance.
  • Capital Area Food Bank to support their food distribution through pop-up markets in the District of Columbia, Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties in Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
  • Arlington Food Assistance Center to support individuals and families with their food and nutrition needs through distribution of pre-bagged groceries.
  • Manna Food Center to meet the nutrition needs of MCPS students and families impacted by school closures and food distribution and delivery to those in need throughout Montgomery County.
