Course Description:

Attendees will learn the following:
-Understand various risks associated with subcontracts

-How to identify potential risks that can impact cost, schedule, performance.
-Learn and develop risk mitigation strategies.
-Understand the differences in disputes and strategies to mitigate them.
-If/when they occur, learn different ways that disputes can be resolved.

Instructor: Rebecca Kehoe

As a Manager in CohnReznick’s Government Contracting and Technology Group, Ms. Kehoe has more than 30 years of experience addressing compliance issues for government contractors.  She consults with small and medium-sized businesses providing all aspects of federal contract compliance, including implementation and audit of Purchasing, Estimating and Property Business Systems, Conflicts of Interest audits, Service Contract Act Labor Audits, and Contract/Subcontract administration reviews.  

Her background as legal counsel for the General Services Administration provides insight into what the federal government regulations require and what the federal contractor can expect from an outside review of its compliance programs.   Ms. Kehoe also teaches several classes from our GovCon Academy which provides practical business training on financial and compliance requirements for federal government contracts. 

Kehoe’s legal background complements other firm expertise in finance and accounting for government contractors. Prior to joining CohnReznick, Ms. Kehoe worked as a manager in the public services division of an international consulting company. In that role, she was responsible for the development of teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and subcontract cost/price analysis, among other related projects. 

Kehoe also was a Senior Attorney in a Washington, DC, law firm and she worked for the Office of Regional Counsel and General Counsel for the U.S. General Services Administration, the Office of Design and Construction of The American University and the Office of the Architect of U.S. Architect of the Capitol.

Kehoe has a Juris Doctor degree from the Washington College of Law at The American University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland.  She has attended and taught a host of continuing education courses and completed the Judge Advocate General’s School of the U.S, Army both in Labor Law and Government Contracts as well as General Inspection Training Course, U.S. Corps of Engineers.
