President’s Letter

Greetings NCMA Tysons members, friends and colleagues,

I hope this letter finds you and your families safe and healthy during this challenging time.  Never would I have imagined my service as President would require such a shift of this magnitude.   COVID has impacted me both personally as I focus on empathy towards Chapter members and members of our society, and professionally as we focus on strong leadership skills and the ability to develop new strategies that still enable us to be of service and continue to operate at a high level.

We remain committed to delivering in the areas outlined in the first President’s letter.  We successfully planned our first Leadership Summit which was postponed due to COVID.  We held a mid-year in-person engagement with our BOD and sponsors to improve communication to our stakeholders. We continue to seek opportunities to collaborate with other NCMA Chapters.  We invested in our infrastructure to redevelop our web presence via a new website.  We converted all programming to a virtual format in response to COVID and so much more.

Our first virtual dinner meeting on Tuesday, April 28th from 6:30pm – 8:00pm will feature Madame Michelle Currier who will lead a discussion on the topic “Leadership Perspectives: What would you do?  A TransDigm Discussion.”  Registration for our remaining dinner meetings will be free.  We have decided this is the time to help others and will instead fundraise for various organizations that are supporting COVID relief efforts.  For the next month,  we invite you to join NCMA Tysons in making a contribution to the World Central Kitchen to support those impacted by COVID19.  We have a goal of $2,000 and will match 50% of the funds raised.  Donations will be accepted up to our next virtual dinner meeting in which we will select another charitable organization participating in COVID relief efforts.

Lastly, I want to thank our amazing sponsors, the Board of Directors and Advisors and YOU who help make NCMA Tysons an amazing Chapter!
